Um…Henry is kind of incredible.

19 Sep

There are time that I feel like I won the lottery. Take, for instance, the baby lottery. You get pregnant. First, you hope and pray that the baby is healthy. Once he is born, you hope and pray that he isn’t a tyrant, that he doesn’t have colic, that he isn’t a super picky eater, that he doesn’t drive you nuts. You just hope that you get lucky and have a pleasant, happy baby.

Deron and I totally won that lottery.

And, as Henry’s mom, I feel somewhat compelled to brag about my kid. So, lucky reader, here are some of the things I love about Henry boy:

1. He waves his arms and shakes his legs with excitement. His whole body vibrates.

2. He smiles with his whole face.

3. He claps his hands but loves it more when you clap yours.

4. He’s eager to explore the world. But, since he can’t crawl yet, he drags himself around in circles. Or rolls everywhere.

5. He’s ticklish and his giggles are AMAZING!

6. He loves to read. He turns the pages. He studies the pictures. He’s vibrating with excitement. And, if no one is there to open the book, he stares at the cover.

7. He eats everything. I counted it up yesterday, he eats 21 different foods. And without complaint!

8. He sings to himself when he thinks no one is watching.

9. He loves people. We took him out for breakfast this morning and he was smiling at all the ladies in the restaurant. They love him right back!

10. He squeals in delight whenever he sees the cats. His legs kick, his arms shake. The cats, of course, flee from this but he can’t get enough of them.

Sigh…such a great kid. How did I get so lucky?
