Tulip Time in Holland, MI

23 Apr

Our family spent the weekend in lovely Holland, Michigan. And true to its Dutch history, the city loves tulips. They were everywhere and we saw all kinds of tulips. They are really beyond description, so I thought that I’d be annoying photographer lady and show you some photos.

And a special thanks to Deron and Henry for tolerating me during our afternoon walk. I think I photographed every tulip variety along the way.

Enjoy!

Thanksgiving leftovers

25 Nov

Oh…how I love Thanksgiving. It gives me such warm, happy feelings.

We started our day with pecan sticky buns (a family tradition) and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The best part of the parade was the dancing dudes, also known as the 610 Stompers. They were awesome.

Dinner went off without a hitch. And it was darn tasty. Here are the most delicious recipes:

I tried to take some photos of the food but it turns out that food photography is tricky. It’s hard to make turkey look delicious and not sinewy. Sorry you couldn’t share in the nummy-ness.

Just to give you a heads up, I’m going to skip a day of posting. We’re headed up to our place in Michigan tomorrow and will be without internet for 24 hours. I’ll be back on Sunday.
